We had the sweetest server who accommodated us and two children. We had the burger, gf savory crepe, and a gf banana crepe. Everything was impeccable. It reminded me of our travels to Japan where the food was prepared with intention. Highly recommend!!

The woman that was working was the absolute sweetest. I really appreciated how I never felt rushed during my visit. Although I don't typically eat ham, the Croque Madame was so tasty. I also ordered Iced White Mocha and it was the perfect balance. I would love to go back and try their beignets!

Second time here and still very impressed! Got the breakfast sandwich with candy bacon and it was really solid. Sandwich is served open faced with some Swiss cheese on both sides. Came with three slices of candy bacon -- why had a nice smoky and sweet flavor. Overall portion size was good to fill me up. The potato Mille-feuille was also really well made, with nice crispiness on the outside and edges. -- owner said it takes 48 hours to make. Really impressed by the quality and attention to detail here. Owners are very nice and friendly. And love the cosy vibes here. Side note: was chatting with owner and he said why they aren't open for dinner, they do allow people to book out restaurant for dinner and you can work with them on food menu. Plus in supporting small local businesses.

My friend suggested we should try Farmhouse Cafe which I had bookmarked for a while now and forgotten about it. The cafe is located on the first floor of 808 Center. The interior has the vibe of an American cafe in Japan with a rustic look. The seatings are pretty uncomfortable. The booth has the smallest width I ever sat on. Their menu is pretty limited but they have a couple of specials on a tiny board near the entrance. Beignets: Their beignets were pretty different than traditional beignets. It was light and soft but the texture and taste reminded me of a more airy andagi. It also had some jasmine scent in it which made the pastry tasted like a flower. I wasn't crazy about the jasmine taste in the beignets. However without it, they were pretty bland and the powdered sugar didn't help much. I think the sauces would help more with the sweetness for an additional price. Gourmet burger: This was highly recommended. We requested for the burger prepared medium. The burger was alright. Didn't taste like wagyu beef. It was pretty dry and so the demi glace sauce on the side was the saving grace. It still didn't help flavor wise. The burger has a strong blue cheese flavor which overpowered everything. The onion jam was non existent. The potato mille feuille was not seasoned. It was my first time trying this but I don't think the center should be very soggy. The edges were crispy but that's it. It would have been better to just use fries as the side. Overall, the dishes are just decent. Personally, the flavors are not to my taste but my friend did enjoyed it especially the burger. You paid at the cashier once you finish, they won't bring the check to your table which is pretty common in Japan. I wouldn't revisit unless my friend wanted to go back again.

A really great coffee house. Plug in your laptop, order a really perfect brewed coffee and you are good to go! A bit pricey on the food but the value , the scrumptious OMG moment is worth it. - Pear tart; sweet shortbread crust with a nice size pear in top. Not the fake stuff here. You know, the type you scoop out of a bucket? Nope! This is yum. Tarts change everyday so hope you get to tey this one! - beignets: comes hot with lots of powedered sugar. Itʻs nice to share. - Croissant ham and egg sand: Yes, delicious. Canʻt go wrong with kurobota ham - coffee - Taken to the next level by Chef! Not just an average cup of Joe. No acid bite here. - Double espresso- wasnʻt as hot as I would like but when using good beans, its really a happy sip.

I don't normally Yelp more than once for any place I've patronized so Farmhouse Cafe is the exception because each time I've gone it's been over the moon for me and my guest. Another 5 stars for Chef ZZ's Breakfast Sandwich almost resembling eggs Benedict but much lighter with a delicate flavor I can't recognize except that it's yummy! Started out with the signature basket of beignets and each time I am swooning with the not too sweet but sweet enough flavor and texture. Had to pair it this time with the Irish Coffee and dang if it didn't up the ante! Chef ZZ comes out to thank everyone who enjoy his food which is really a nice touch. They will be open for brunch on Thanksgiving and he has a special menu prepared!

We met up with some friends at Farmhouse Cafe. A huge window in front of this cafe. Farmhouse decor, etc. The service was nice and courteous. Our friends shared an Acai Bowl and Breakfast Sandwich w/candy bacon. They seemed like it. My wife and I shared the Gourmet Burger: 8oz 100% Natural American Waygu, onion date jam, bleu cheese, demi-glaze & potato mille-feuille (5/5). They said they cook the patty to medium. The first bite into this burger and wow...THIS IS a good burger! The waygu patty melts in your mouth. The onion date jam, bleu cheese, and demi-glaze added richness, sweetness, savory, and creaminess to the whole thing. Wow, this was so good! The potato mille-feuille was thinly sliced potatoes layered together and baked to a crispy, yet soft inside. My wife loved this! Luckily, she saved some pieces for me and this was so good! I'd definitely come back just for this burger! Candy Bacon (5/5). Thick cuts of bacon, coated in a sweetness. This was smoky, sweet, and savory. Hibiscus Watermelon Juice (3/5). I could not taste any watermelon. It seemed to be all Hibiscus, so it was tart and florally. Mocha Latte (3/5). My wife said it was just ok. The chef came out and greetedmhis customers which was nice of him. Support this local business.

Cute little spot located in the 808 Sheridan complex, ground floor. May the parking gods be in your favor. Croque Monsiuer in all its messy goodness is my fave, along with the beignets with the Grand Marnier chocolate sauce. The potato Mille-Feuille were nice and crisp, but it lacked flavor for me. I know the others in the party thoroughly enjoyed that though. All in all, this shop has a very homey vibe to it, and the service wasn't rushed. Definitely a great brunch spot or place to do some work away from the office.
